This 100% Syrah, from the warm St-Julien-en-St-Alban zone (in the Ardèche on the northern bank of the Ouvèze--to the west of the Rhône River, at the southern edge of the northern Rhône Valley) may be the closest to a typical Rhone red but eben so it still only comes in at 13.5%alcohol. This wine is whole cluster fermented in concrete and aged in concrete for 18-24 months. Like all of Texier’s wines, very little sulfur is used. There is a nice combination of rich, crunchy fruit, beautiful texture and a fresh easy drinkability
