A precociously delicious Blanc de Noir.  Ready to drink now, with rewarding flavors of red raspberry, and baked apple tart.  This is our first release from George Hillberry’s La Colina Vineyard

La Colina is located on the western side of the Dundee Hills, and sits at 500-600 feet of elevation.  It was planted in 1999 by George Hillberry, who is one heck of a farmer.  The site is dry farmed and is live certified.  There are about 40 acres planted, all Pinot noir, save one acre that George grafted over to heritage chardonnay clones for us in the coldest pocket of the vineyard. Our block is situated on the top of a ridge that runs through the vineyard.  It is Pommard clone.  Though it might be less famous than Abbey Ridge or Temperance Hill, we find the wines to be just as alluring, and more approachable in youth.
