Crafted from old vine Wadenswil Pinot noir, the wine delivers textured and graceful weight.  It offers flavors of cherry tart, Anjou pear, and Mirabelle plum. 

We source fruit from about 4 acres of Temperance Hill’s original, own-rooted 1980 Wädenswil Pinot noir vines. Temperance Hill sits at 660’-900’ and is known as one of the latest ripening vineyards in the Willamette valley.  It is one of the crown jewels of Oregon viticulture.  These ungrafted old vines have spent over four decades driving their roots deep into the volcanic basalt bedrock. They possess a self-regulating balance that yields low crops with deeply complex flavors at naturally lower sugar levels. Our typical yields hover around 1 ton per acre, making wines that have power, yet also have the lively acidity needed for quality sparkling wine.
