Roilette Fleurie 'Griffe du Marquis' 2023

Clos de la Roilette is a favorite of ours, like a favorite jacket, a favorite album or a favorite food, it never disappoints. I have written about them regularly, except for a few years when they were not available in Seattle (not good). 

Today we will pour their new releases at our Tasting Bar. It was an easy decision. We love each wine, they are real, they have soul, they have an identity. Of course, they are delicious as well as refreshingly priced. To paraphrase the Dramatics from their song  “Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get” the wines are “as real as real can get”.

There are not many wines from Beaujolais I would pay $50 for but this is one. 

“Whole-cluster, semi-carbonic maceration in concrete for 18 days. One year élevage in burgundian barrels. One gram of S02 is added per hectoliter after malolactic fermentation. If deemed necessary, another gram is added at bottling.” (Dressner website)
