2024 marks the third vintage that we get to enjoy the delicious wines of our dear friend Lisa Wiseman. Her philosophy is simple: “The whole idea behind Ridge of Wonders Wine is to source fruit only from Columbia Gorge vineyards and to make the wines here in the gorge. Respecting each variety’s character using minimal intervention, as well as understanding the variations of each vineyard, is of utmost importance.” I’m happy to report that not only has she delivered vintage after vintage—2024 might just be her best yet!

The 2024 Ridge of Wonders Rosé of Pinot Noir from the dry-farmed, certified organic Oak Ridge Vineyard is a stunning expression of this unique site in the foothills of the Cascades. At 1,400 feet elevation, the south-facing vineyard benefits from a cool, balanced climate, allowing the Pinot Noir to ripen slowly and preserve its bright acidity and fresh fruit flavors. The ashy loam soils, enriched by organic and biodynamic farming, add a mineral edge that gives the wine remarkable depth and complexity.

I could sit here and describe the flavors and aromas I experienced when tasting Lisa’s latest release—but sometimes, it’s best to just experience the wine for yourself. Trust me, your glass will thank you.
