The winery’s story began in the early 1990s with Thodoris and Themi, a passionate couple who dedicated themselves to cultivating the exquisite Greek Moschofilero grape in the Gortsouli region in Ancient Mantinia. The native Moschofilero is a focus of theirs and comes from their estate vineyard.

We found this wine when we reconnected with our favorite local Greek wine importer, Toxos, after not seeing them for a while (Toxos specializes in small artisanal producers) This was the first wine he presented to us and once tasted we were happy to have him back on our tasting schedule. Why? Because this is a wine many of you are looking for.

What does that mean? Let me describe the wine. The aroma made me think of sunshine, the sea and the freshest fruit. In the mouth it was bright and crisp with very pure but delicate fruit, in a way few wines are in these warmer times. To top it off it is reasonably priced. I love my traditional European whites, but this wine is a breath of fresh air that I didn’t know I needed until I tasted it.
