Years ago when traveling in Tuscany with a friend he asked a local merchant who made the best Vernaccia. Elisabetta Fagiouli, he immediately responded. An appointment was made and a visit I will never forget followed (happy to give you details if you stop by).

This is Vernaccia as it was once made, before San Gimignano was overrun by tourists looking for cheap white wine. It is more textural, more complex, longer lived and simply more delicious than any other. It is organic and comes from an impressive terroir and represents the vision of Elisabetta.
