Normally it is of good measure to not judge a book by its cover but can you really blame me for obsessing over such a cute and picturesque label? The answer is ofc not! Especially when the wine matches its charms.

Cuvée ’Taburno’ is made from the almost extinct Falanghina grape, which thanks to local producers such as Masseria Frattasi, is having a remarkable comeback. The fruit is grown on volcanic and limestone-rich soils on the slopes surrounding Mount Taburno in the province of Benevento under organic viticulture practices. 

The wine you might ask? Drinks instinctively Italian, with medium intensity and acidity, plus a savory yet refreshing finish that will make you crave for some of the bountiful local seafood that is about to become available to us. Spot prawns, Dungeness crab, Geoduck anyone?
