This is one of the best, yet most under the radar wineries we stock. Let me explain. It is a small family business with 6 employees, certified biodynamic, and consistently makes top notch Alsatian wines that are modestly priced. This wine will back up my assertion.

The grapes come from a 1.7 hectare vineyard that is biodynamically certified planted in 1988 at 5000 vines per hectare and added to in 1996 at 6000 vines per hectare. At 12% alcohol it is a dry Riesling that still exhibits the full range of flavors a Riesling is capable of and is a steal at the price. This is a perfect match with Dungeness Crab, scallops, chilled Vietnamese Noodle dishes, pork chops or a good book.
