A cuvee of 70% Meunier, whose black fruit aromas marry perfectly with the finesse of 30% Chardonnay. A range of citrus aromas from lemon to mandarin orange are lifted by a delicate but energetic mousse. This wine starts with a 2-year-old vintage base, blended with 4-5-year-old reserve wines. It spends a minimum of 2 years on the lees before disgorgement and receives a 9gl dosage. The result is a juicy balanced Brut for every day. If you don’t believe there is such a thing as an ‘everyday’ champagne, then stick with us; we, and Jose Michel et Fils, will convert you.
Located in the small village of Moussy, just south of Epernay, this Maison began in 1847. With 3 sons and 5 grandchildren, we can expect to witness a satisfyingly long and joyous evolution of wines of José Michel (himself a 5th generation vigneron).
