We have a long, but off and on, history with this esteemed Burgundy producer. After tasting three of their 2022’s recently it is definitely back on. This wine is on the border of Puligny Montrachet and shares much more with that famous appellation than its more mundane Bourgogne Blanc designation. A few years in the bottle have given it time to blossom, with beautiful fruit, texture and length of flavor.

This is from their website and I wholeheartedly concur:

“100% Chardonnay from the walled vineyard right in front of the Château inside the village of Puligny-Montrachet, this over-achieving Bourgogne Blanc is stellar year in and year out. It definitely shows the floral and mineral notes in the nose that make the village famous. Good length and buttery, citrus fruit make this a great wine at any price, but this “little” wine from an estate with an embarrassing array of riches can stand up to the best of them.”
