I had the pleasure of visiting Ciro back in 2018, his lovely wife cooked an amazingly huge meal for us and we drank some older versions of all of his wines... Not classically trained in wine, he convinced his wife to take the few hectares planted to walnuts that her family had owned and tear them out to plant Fiano over 30 years ago.

High in the hills sits their estate, now having taken over 100+ year old Greco vines along with his beloved Fiano and Falanghina, he's making some of the most expressive and delicious whites in all of Campania.

This wine is so easy to like with light orchard fruit, pear skin and a hint of raw cashews, great minerality and acid that carries the wine to the end, it's perfect for spring, the early signs of sunshine and roasted chicken. I personally like this with mushroom risotto or a chicory salad.
